The past few months
For a moment, I was crushed. No one could be sure if it was a big, fat conspiracy, but it certainly felt like it was. Still, with time, the pain numbed, even when the effects were still acutely felt. The world did not stop moving on and neither should I. If I had the resources to right the wrongs done to us, I would. I had never wished that I'd the influence/power as much as I did during this period.
To say that this year, so far, had been like a curse ... was an understatement. I lost almost everything that I'd dedicated my efforts to achieve... right before my birthday. There was never a good time for bad things to happen, but still. The J*, M* and R*... gone up in black smoke, like a suffocating veil which threatened to blind everyone to all things else.
